How to Apply

The University of Chicago Infectious Diseases Fellowship Program participates in the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). Applications to our fellowship should be made to the ERAS at their website. The Fellowship Program participates in the Medical Specialties Matching Program of the National Residency Matching Program (NRMP). Applicants should register with the NRMP at their website.

Application Requirements

Physician applicants should have completed at least two years of training in Internal Medicine.
Applicants must be ABIM board-eligible and have a medical license for Illinois.

Applicants should submit at least 3 letters of recommendation

We accept applications through ERAS only, and we participate in the NRMP. After your application and letters of recommendation have been received, your file will be reviewed by our fellowship committee. A limited number of fellowship applicants will be invited for an interview. We consider applicants who are not U.S. citizens if they have an immigrant visa or an exchange visa.
